Fundraise for Scottish Mountain Rescue

Our supporters have:

  • Walked the watershed of Scotland from the Scottish Borders to the North Coast
  • Swam the length of Loch Ness
  • Organised a Ceilidh
  • Summited 100 mountains in 30 days
  • In celebration of a birthday, asked for donations to Scottish Mountain Rescue in lieu of gifts

We are extremely grateful for their support and hope that you will join them.

Having always been a keen walker, I was introduced to the hills and mountains through fundraising ventures. I continued my hillwalking adventures and my first encounter with Scottish Mountain Rescue came when a very dear friend was unfortunate enough to slip whilst descending Ben Vorlich and broke her ankle. I witnessed the dedication and professionalism of these amazing volunteers. Never before had I been so in awe of a group of people. I decided then to fundraise by doing the Great Glen Challenge which I thought to be a highly appropriate event. Our walking group has also raised a substantial amount and I hope this will continue to be an annual event which should grow with the group. I, too, intend to raise further funds in the future.
