eMagazine

For the time being at least, SMR has now ceased production of a Scotland specific magazine. Instead we offer articles to MREW and Mountaineering Scotland for inclusion in their publications.

Below are links to the digital versions we produced, prior to edition 26 it was paper only; no digital version is available.

Scottish Mountain Rescue Edition 37

‘Scottish Mountain Rescue’ is our in-house quarterly magazine.

Team members have always known it as ‘Casbag’ and it has a long history. The first issue was produced in 1989 and featured Eric Langmuir and Pete Cliff. Today its content is all things mountain rescue i.e. technical guidance, first aid, navigation, incident reports, cave rescue, team news, equipment/book reviews, etc.

The magazine is available to the general public via this website on a trial basis.

Advertisers

With spectacular mountains and the most civilised access laws in the world, Scotland is a unique and special wilderness playground for the adventurous. Scotland is also the most mountainous country in the United Kingdom with Scottish Mountain Rescue at the cutting edge. It therefore represents a most potent outdoor target audience for advertisers in the UK.
