Scottish Mountain Rescue has issued its Annual Review of 2015. Kev Mitchell, Vice Chair said, “Scottish Mountain Rescue is the organisation that represents Mountain Rescue Teams from across Scotland. The teams are made up of world-class volunteers who give up their time to assist others in need. We’re delighted to showcase a fraction of their work in this Annual Review.”

The Annual Review covers the calendar year 2015 and looks at the work of the rescue teams, a profile of a team member, and the story of just one of the many rescues that took place that year. An infographic shows annual-review-2015-cover-pic-lo-resannual-review-2015-cover-pic-lo-resthe steady increase in incidents and Kev Mitchell added: “this illustrates the increasing pressure on Mountain Rescue Teams and shows that in 2015, across Scotland, Mountain Rescue Teams responded to an average of nearly 50 incidents per month.
