Newcastle – Gateshead Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K

Enjoy a traffic-free route for the day as runners take over the city of Gateshead. The route starts and ends at the famous Gateshead International Stadium, a venue which has hosted Diamond & Golden League Athletics and the European Cup, meaning you’ll be channelling the five world records set here as you dash to the finish on the athletics track.

The majority of the route will be scenic and gently undulating by the south shore of the River Tyne. You’ll have fantastic views of Newcastle City Centre as you weave your way around the iconic landmarks of the Millennium Bridge, Sage Gateshead and over the Swing Bridge. The population of Newcastle are full of support for the runners and you’ll be cheered on enthusiastically at every opportunity.

For just a small registration, you can take up your charity place with Scottish Mountain Rescue at Gateshead:

10k – Registration fee £20, Minimum sponsorship amount £70 (Click here to sign up)

Half Marathon – Registration fee £25, Minimum sponsorship amount £100 (Click here to sign up)

Full Marathon – Registration fee £30, Minimum sponsorship amount £150 (Click here to sign up)

Once you’ve signed up, we will be in touch to process your registration fee and provide you with a Scottish Mountain Rescue T-shirt and fundraising support.
