In an emergency call 999 and ask for Police then Mountain Rescue

Donating or fundraising in memory of someone is a very special and meaningful way to remember them, honouring their life and helping others at the same time. Maybe they enjoyed spending time in the mountains and wild places of Scotland, or they would have wanted to say thank you to the Mountain Rescue Teams, whatever the reason, we’re always incredibly touched and grateful to receive these donations.

Donate

in memory

Donating or fundraising in memory of someone is a very special and meaningful way to remember

We have an In Memory Messageboard.  It is a special, shared place to remember loved ones and share memories and messages of support.  You can write a message, share a thought, upload a meaningful picture.  There is then an option to leave a donation to Scottish Mountain Rescue in their memory.

Alternatively, you can make a donation via our website and let us know the name of the person you are remembering and, if you wish, you can tell us more about why you are donating.

Create

a tribute fund

A tribute fund offers a wonderful way to celebrate the life of a loved one. You can set up a tribute site to share memories, thoughts and stories with family and friends as well as light candles, add music, photos and videos.

The website Much Loved enables you to set up a tribute page linked to Scottish Mountain Rescue, so that you can use your tribute page to raise vital funds to support Scottish Mountain Rescue.

Collect

at a memorial service

You can celebrate the life of a loved one and make a lasting difference by collecting donations at a funeral. You might choose to do this by asking for donations instead of flowers. You can also hold a collection at celebration of life services and events.

You can set up a funeral collection page online at Much Loved

If you want to send the proceeds of a collection made in memory of someone by post, you should make cheques payable to Scottish Mountain Rescue, Glenmore Lodge, Glenmore, Aviemore, Inverness-shire, PH22 1QZ
