PPE Working at Height – Tayside MRT Base November 8th. Delivered by AquaTerra

Course Overview:

This course is designed to introduce candidates who are actively involved in the control of working at height equipment to the requirements of the appropriate regulations.

Course Objectives:

A mixture of theory and practical work. Candidates will be assessed during the course and will complete a written test.

Course Elements: Legislation and Regulations, Equipment and Systems Identification, Inspection Regimes and Requirements, Equipment Inspection Certification Requirements, Defective Equipment, Equipment Storage.

Equipment Covered:

Helmets

• Ropes

• Harnesses

• Connectors

• Slings

• Ascenders/ Descenders

• Belay devices inc. ID; Gri-gri & Grillon

• Energy Absorbing Devices

Course Duration: 1 Day

Course Criteria: The Candidate must:

• attend the entire course

• adhere to course content and demonstrate the required practical application techniques

Certificates awarded after successful completion of the course will be valid for a three year period after which re-certification must take place.

** Please bring your current PPE kit with you to the course as there will be an afternoon session of practical application.
